• Are the Next Generation of Supermodels set to take over the Fashion World?

Let’s rewind back to the 1990’s when everyone wanted to be the next big supermodel to take the world by storm. Leading the way were now icons – Kate Moss, Niomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford to name a few. They were the first generation of supermodels, leading successful advertising campaigns and making what the industry is today. However with the invention of social media and reality television are the new generation of supermodels even more powerful than the original?

Major corporate brands are no longer focused on only revenue and market share but more so on increasing their online presence and connecting with a younger audience. We’ve listed a few of our favourite new supermodels currently making a huge impact in fashion.

Kendall Jenner
The mini Kardashian grew up in front of the camera from the tender age of 11. Her entire childhood/adulthood has been documented on the hit reality series ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ which has helped her establish her profile and launch her modelling career. Her career began at 14 when she was signed to Wilamenhia models and slowly began gaining more exposure in the industry. Her big break came in 2014 when she landed all 4 fashion weeks and walked for multiple designers such as Diane Von Furstenburg in New York, Fendi in Milan, Topshop in London and Chanel in Paris. With over 35.5 million followers on Instagram and 12.2 million followers on Twitter, Kendall’s definitely a force to be reckoned with.






Gigi Hadid
Emerging supermodel Gigi Hadid began her modelling career aged 2 modelling for Baby Guess. She led a model free life in L.A. afterwards to pursue her studies until finally moving to New York in 2013 to focus on her modelling career. Her career has gone from strength to strength ever since, gracing the cover of Vogue magazines worldwide, made her New York fashion week debut and has starred in several music videos. Her profile has certainly been boosted making alliances with the Kardashian clan as she’s often seen out and about with Kendall and Kylie Jenner.


Hailey Baldwin
Another familiar face in the Hollywood scene – Hailey Baldwin, daughter of famous actor Stephen Baldwin is a young American model emerging to supermodel status. She’s graced the cover of several magazines including Love and Tatler. She’s renowned for the being the ‘it’ girl on the Hollywood party scene and has been romantically linked to Justin Beiber making her a success on social media with over 1.9 million followers on Instagram.



Suki Waterhouse

The young British model found her way into the modelling industry after being discovered in a pub aged 16. Her debut campaign was for Marks and Spencer and she’s since modelled for Alice & Olivia, Swatch, H&M to name a few. She has been gracing the cover of high-profile fashion magazines such as Vogue, Tatler and Grazia and is now known as an emerging supermodel. She is currently the face of Burberry and has recently transitioned into acting starring in two Hollywood films: Insurgent and The Bad Batch. Not to mention she’s also a social media influencer with over 700,000 followers on Instagram. 

The new generation of supermodels are fierce, powerful business women with a huge influence on the younger generation. Watch out for these ladies!
